On September 9th 2023, Golden Age Air Museum pulled back the curtain and officially unveiled their SPAD XIII (Replica) to the public. The event was held with pomp and circumstance on museum grounds in Bethel PA. It was on this day that the 13th Aero Squadron emblem affectionately known as "Oscar" would be painted on the sides of the SPAD. Using the original brass template, the grim reaper was traced onto the canvas. Before the large crowd, VIP guests and museum staff and volunteers were invited to paint a piece of "Oscar". Board Director and Aviation Artist Michael O'Neal completed the painting and brought the squadron emblem to life.
